NY half marathon

Crossing this street has always been a hazard.  In the 19th century you  had to look out for horse drawn carriages.  In the 20th century it was automobiles.  In the 21st century it is usually bikers, but today to cross this street you had to dodge between 25,000 runners competing in the New York Half Marathon.  Of course they could have walked 100 yards and crossed through a beautiful arcade under the road and avoided the possible collisions.       Canon 5Dmarkiii, Tamron 28-300@86mm, ISO 800, 1/1500@f8

Typical of New York people.

Good one, Harv.

Remnds me of when we lived in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

The NY Marathon would pass us down at the corner, a mass of people with virtually no gaps in the crowd. The only way we could cross the street was to walk down half a block and join the race, gradually moving over to the other side of the street.
