Harvey Kopel has been interested in Photography since he joined the Camera Club in High School and became the Photographer for the school Newspaper and Annual. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a major in photography and a minor in Art History from Ohio University, where he studied under Clarence White. He has continued his education with workshops from Stephen Patterson and Andy Long. He is studying Fine Art Photo Printing from Per Gylfe at the International Center for Photography.
Harvey was staff photographer for “Army News Features” and “The Army Information Digest”. He has exhibited with the New York Sierra Club at The Calumet Studio, The Manhattan Borough President’s Office and The Greenwich Audubon Center. Currently his main interest is nature photography. Harvey is a volunteer tour guide with The Central Park Conservancy and has lectured about his Central Park Photos at “The Tuesday Evening Hour”.
