Vintage Aircraft Air Show
This plane never made it off the ground when I visited the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome on August 28th. However the show was amazing and over a dozen vintage planes did get in the air. I was there on a trip sponsored by B&H Photo, Moose Peterson, and Lexar. They graciously bussed us to the event, fed us lunch, and Moose gave advice on photographing planes. The next morning there was a critique at the B&H Event Space. Harvey - Laura shared your blog with me. Rhinebeck is an old haunt of the Jacob family. In the 70's we used to attend an annual r/c airplane meet held in the fall at the aerodrome. Your photo of the Gypsy Moth with the blurred trees in the background is a great shot and captures the barnstorming history of that airplane. Thanks for stirring old memories. Cousin Hank
