Red Lighthouse

"The Little Red Lighthouse and the Great Gray Bridge" a children's book by  Hildegarde Swift about the Jeffrey’s Hook lighthouse erected in 1921 and marked for removal after it became obsolete when the George Washington Bridge was built in 1931.  It was saved from destruction by a public outcry and is now a New York City Landmark.  I got there by bicycle, riding a bike path beside the Hudson River.
