Autumn at Watkins Glen

October 16, 2016  •  4 Comments

Watkins Glen is in the finger lakes of New York State.  A glen is a valley, typically one that is long, deep and often glacially U-shaped, or one with a watercourse running through it, and Watkins Glen travels the equivalent of a 70 story building with over 800 stairs and more than 19 waterfalls along the way.  The New York City Sierra Club Photo Committee had a field trip to the Glen and we spent the day climbing, photographing, and enjoying the outing. For more of my photos of the Glen go to my web page www.harvey.photos and look in the gallery Watkins Glen.
